GI Bill
GI benefits vary depending on the type of program selected, however, in all cases, the following three conditions must be met:
- Students must be enrolled in courses that will apply to their program.
- The programs at the "host" school in the foreign country must be approved.
- VA cannot pay any fees specific to studying abroad unless the student is required to study abroad as part of their program.
For faculty-led programs, the Education Abroad program fee is only covered when studying abroad is required as part of a student's degree plan. The tuition for education abroad programs is covered if the course satisfies a degree requirement.
